Late 19th Century Brown and White Transferware Plate. Description: Potted by Wedgwood, a lovely aesthetic transfer low soup plate, measuring 9 1/4" in diameter. Impressed Wedgwood and I believe HF1 and two asterisk stars, the plate is decorated with numerous dogwood blooms, berries and leaves. The central cartouche is slightly off center but i think adds to the charm of the plate, being hand decorated with transfer prints. Very nice glaze with no chips or cracks.
