A Mid-19th Century Brown and White Transferware Plate

Superb Plate in the "Italian Buildings" Pattern, the second of Two offered. Potted by Ralph Hall early 19th century. Like its pair, it measures 10 1/4" inch and is superb with no chips or cracks. Only mild Browning along the foot rim. Wonderful glaze. A charming Subject Matter with florals, garlands and acanthus motif. With a well, punctuated by two ladies in a garden setting I am amazed at the dense and wonderful exciting border. Almost too much to take in! One of a great pair of matching plates.
